This training is created for those interested in learning how to share the joy of yoga with children of all ages. With evidence-based principles on child development, learning styles, and effective teaching strategies, RKYM will provide a strong foundation in the art of teaching children’s yoga.
Resilient Kids is a subset of Resilience Yoga, owned by Christine Dance Wolf, E-RYT 500/YACEP; MSEd, who specializes in yoga for special populations, including School-Based Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Adaptive Yoga for children and adults. Price is $445 for the 25-hour training to be held 3/6-3/8. Early bird is 15% off if you sign up before 2/19.

In this training, students will learn effective principles in teaching children’s yoga including:
-An understanding of child development principles, how age differences impact what and how children learn, and neurobiology of a child’s developing brain
-Yoga postures, breathing techniques, and alignment cues broken up into age ranges
-Meditation, relaxation, mindfulness activities, and basic emotional regulation techniques
-Behavioral management and class structure policies
-Strategies for inclusion of diverse populations, needs, and backgrounds
Who Should Attend: Yoga teachers who have completed their 200-hour teacher training, school teachers, physical education teachers, daycare providers, mental health professionals, and/or other children’s professionals planning to complete other modules or looking to utilize yoga and mindfulness in classrooms or special groups. Personal experience with yoga as a student or a teacher is necessary. Contact us with questions about your experience.
Certification Requirements: Students must attend the training in its entirety. In addition, students are required to complete all non-contact hours including reading and conducting community-based children’s classes.
CEUs: All Resilient Kids Yoga training classes provide Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits. Further CEUs may be provided upon request.
