Meditation has been practiced in cultures all over the world for thousands of years. Meditation is an essential aspect of any yogi’s practice. Meditation is a set of techniques intended to encourage a heightened state of awareness and focused attention. When practicing meditation, one enters a state of thoughtful, non-judgmental awareness. Meditation is a time for one to look inward and focus on cultivating a relationship with thoughts. A daily meditation practice helps steady the mind, reduces stress, relieves headaches, improves sleep patterns, promotes clarity, promotes relaxation, and helps one become more present in daily life. In this 90 minute workshop, Christine and Gzep will introduce meditation practices and techniques to help you understand meditation and create or increase a daily meditation practice that supports your lifestyle and enhances your body and mind connection. All levels are welcome.
